National Committee

The European Youth Parliament Ireland is run by a National Committee (NC), which is elected on a yearly basis at our AGM in April. The NC has a meeting every two weeks and is comprised of 8 members, each of whom have a different role to carry out. Additionally, there is a sub-committee consisting of the head organisers of each of our conferences.
Secretary | Amber Davy The Secretary organise, chair and record the minutes of our meetings, helping to set a direction for the organisation as a whole. They also represent EYP Ireland at meetings with EYP international. Treasurer | Kevin Boland The Treasurer is in charge of all things financial. They draw up our accounts at the start of each year, budgeting and divvying up our funds between our numerous events and ensuring that we have enough funding and sponsorship to continue our activities. Alumni Officer | Leanne Brosnan Our Alumni officer keeps all of EYP Ireland’s members, or alumni, informed on the activities of the organisation as well as inviting them along with international alumni to participate as officials at our sessions. They organise our annual training weekend as well as social events throughout the year to keep us all in contact. Delegate Officer| Emma Young Our Delegate Officer is charged with the care of our newest members, those attending a session abroad for the first time. They organise a teambuilding for delegates going to the same session and help them with the logistics of getting to their destination. The Delegate Officer keeps contact with them while they are abroad through the chaperone who has accompanied them to the session. Conference Head Organiser Coordinator | Jane Creech The conference head organiser coordinator liaises between the national committee and the sub-committee of head organisers. They are responsible for ensuring that all sessions run as efficiently and smoothly as possible, as well as beinging any concerns that the sub-committee may have to the attention of the national committee, and vice-versa. Public Relations and Fundraising Officer (PROFO) | Rose Cantillon The PRFO maintains the external image of the organisation, and deals with any matters concerning the press and media. They are also in charge of developing and implementating the organisation's fundraising strategy. Graphic and Web Design Officer | Cian Horgan The Graphic and Web Design Officer updates our online presence through our website and social media, and creates updated materials to advertise the organisation. They are also responsible for the logos and visual materials at our sessions. International Officer | Gráinne Sexton The international Officer represents EYP Ireland at the Board of National Committees, which is in charge of policy and recommendations for the entire network. They are our voice for international issues, and liaise with officials from outside of Ireland at our events. Head Organiser Sub-CommitteeOur Head Organisers are in charged of organising their respective sessions. They lead a team of organisers who are responsible for securing venues, accommodation and the various other aspects that lead to a smooth running session.
